How to calculate TVA in Cameroon step by step (19.25%)
This guide explains how to add TVA manually and how to verify the result using the calculator.
In some stores or web portals you may see prices with the comment "TVA not included". This means that it is not the final price, and that TVA will have to be added to that amount to obtain the total to pay.
Formula to calculate TVA on a price without TVA
To calculate TVA in this case, the following formula must be used:
Practical example of calculating TVA at 19.25%
That is, if you have a product whose value is FCFA 1,200 without TVA and with a 19.25% TVA, the formula would look like this:
The price of the item must be multiplied by the TVA percentage, and that number divided by 100. In this case it would give FCFA 231. Then the TVA amount would be FCFA 231.
Another alternative would be to divide 19.25% by 100, giving 0.19 as a result and this being multiplied by FCFA 1,200, resulting in FCFA 231 in the same way.
To finish, you must add TVA to a price by adding the base price of the product, for example, FCFA 1,200, plus the calculated TVA of FCFA 231, giving as a final result FCFA 1,431.
